On my way now… April 16, 2009

I’m glad that i’m beginning to recover now. Quite happy. I just came back from the ward and seen a young patient (20+) with tender hepatomegaly and the diagnosis came out to be Hepatocellular carcinoma. Its weird frankly. How can someone have that disease at a young age like him. This usually happen in someone with previous insult to the liver causing liver cirrhosis and may progress to HCC then. Alcoholism is one of the most common cause in this region and hepatitis B too. I doubt that diagnosis. Anyway just something to share. If anyone around you keep drinking a lot of alcohol everyday, its time to stop them, gradually.
Next week there will be another exam, Occupational Health. Wow… sound interesting right? with things like carpal tunnel syndrome, asbestosis, etc and the way to prevent occupational disease. Haha and 3 more weeks after this will be another end-of-posting exam. I may start a little bit late in doing revision, but i believe <ITS NEVER TOO LATE!!!> ~hopefully~~:-)
And another 8 weeks after the end of posting exam, will be the FINAL. That is scary.
Tonight’s plan is to study TTP and bleeding disorder, plus occupational health. Actually an idea popped up in my head suddenly, why not i summarise up what i studied here??? so that i can remember better… ok i’ll seriously think about that.
very good initiative today…..keep on maintain ur efforts……
haha ganbate la dr.
